Question: Do I have to be a member to attend the meetings?

Answer: No. Anyone can attend the meetings. You do have to join if you want to go on any of our trips.
 

Question: I'm just a beginner, can I join the club?

Answer: Yes. You may join the club no matter what you skiing ability is. We have members at all levels and you can always find someone to ski with.

 

Question: I don't live in Harford County. Can I join the Harford Ski Club?

Answer: Yes, you don't have to live here to be a member.

 

Question: Even if I'm from Minnesota?

Answer: Yes, we actually have quite a few members from Minnesota.
 

Question: I'm a snowboarder.  Can I join a ski club?

Answer: Yes, you can join the club.  We thought about changing our name, but since we incorporated, it has become very difficult to do so.
 

Question: How much does it cost to become a member?

Answer: $30 for an individual, $50 for a couple, and $55 for a family.
 

Question: I don't have anyone to go with me. Can I still go on your trips?

Answer: Yes. Usually between 25% and 50% of the people on any given trip are singles. The trip leader will pair you up with another single of your gender. You can come to the meetings and meet other people who you can choose to room with.

Question: When does my membership begin and end?

Answer: Your membership begins on May 1 and ends on April 30.
 

Question: You are asking me to sign up for a ski trip in September. Its almost 80 degrees. How can I be sure that there will be snow in Vermont in February?

Answer: They have had snow every winter for the last 35,000 years. Good chance they will have snow next February, too.
 

Question: I want to go on a ski trip, but it is before President's Day weekend. Will there be enough snow to ski?

Answer: Most ski resorts have enough snow by the end of December.
 

Question: I want to go on a ski trip, but it is after President's Day weekend. Will there be any snow left?

Answer: Most ski resorts have good snow until the end of March. For many east coast resorts, March is the best month for snow.
